You could say my story starts in Thailand

At 21, a Thai massage awakened me to my calling. I moved to Thailand to learn everything I could about massage. It was there I was introduced to yoga and pranayama—the Sanskrit word for breathwork. Together, these three practices became the foundation of my approach to bodywork. And after seven years living in Southeast Asia, I moved home to Vancouver, BC and brought with me these ancestral practices into my training as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT).

Where my RMT training focused on the anatomy and physiology of the human body (the muscles, fascia and joints), my ancestral practices focused on the flow of energy in the body. Where my RMT training focused on dynamic techniques, my ancestral practices focused on passive techniques. Where Eastern and Western philosophies all too often compete, I found they complement. Feminine and masculine, yin and yang. Together, they healed more deeply.

And, together, they’re the soul of every Your Body & Breath experience.

A little about me:

I am cree metis and am always learning about my ancestors first nation tradition.

I’ve lived abroad for five years because I believe you have to live in a culture to learn the culture.

My favourite city I’ve lived in is Bangkok, for it’s culture and food - including Thai Massage as a way of life.

My son was born and raised in Thailand and Indonsia until he was four years old - He’s 15 now.

I use Ujjayi Pranayama or “Ocean Breath” everyday, in moments of unproductive thoughts.

I ownder a yoga studio downtown Vancouver, called Chakra Wellenss and co-facilitated an RYT 200Hr Yoga teacher training.
